Inspection and regulation of imports into Swaziland

Import Permit Requirements
Any person wishing to engage or who is engaged in importing, transiting and/or exporting scheduled agricultural products should register and obtain a permit from NAMBoard.

All scheduled agricultural products are subject to an import levy, which is administered by NAMBoard for purposes of protecting local farmers from undue competition resulting from imports and to promote agricultural production in the country. The levy charges fluctuate depending on the availability of product in the country.
